He actually made it difficult for me to decide because all the properties he showed me were amazing. Great knowledge of the Chicagoland and surround suburbs. Garrett was recommended thru a mutual friend back in early 2020. We quickly set up a meeting, agreed on listing price and went to market. We had great showings, heavy foot traffic then COVID-19 quarantine hit. Showings slowed and I was heading out of state for good and needed to get the house sold. We made a slight price adjustment per his direction and the same week we had 11 or so showings. We went under contract after Garrett did some negotiating on price and closing date with buyers and got the house sold. Mine and my husband’s experience with Jorel Kilcullen and his team started in April 2018, we were tossing around the idea of getting a new home, we were out growing our 2 bedroom 1 bath “starter”. I logged onto Zillow and found a total fixer upper we thought we could handle. I emailed jorel immediately,he was the 3rd name on the suggested agents list, but he also looked the most personable and wasn’t just trying to “make a sale”. Jorel met with us that Saturday, showed us a terribly photographed home and told us “call me in a year when you guys have some money saved up, and really think about tackling such a big project”. We were startled by the honest advice, but we took it. We worked hard, kept in contact with Jorel, saw him and his wife on the weekends sometimes and by April 2019 we told him we were ready to dig deep and look. A few wrenches got thrown into our plans, we had to move up our wedding due to a family emergency, so once we were married (July 2019) we sat Jorel down and gave him everything we were looking for. Within 2 months, our starter home was under contract and we were also under contract on our home we purchased October 2019. Day or night, Jorel was available to answer all of our questions and explained everything for us. When it came to closing day, my husband was unable to attend due to work scheduling, so Jorel had his wife Lauren accompany my mother and I until he was done with another meeting that morning. Jorel and Lauren took my mother and I out to a great breakfast to celebrate. I cannot express enough how great Jorel and his team were, are and continue to be. He is currently working with my Grandmother to help sell my Great Grandmothers home, it was under contract before it was even on the market. I will forever send people to Jorel if they are looking for a hard working, driven, honest and fair realtor. I am glad to say Jorel is not only our Realtor, but a friend as well.
